LAKELAND OUTBOUND LTD

At Lakeland Outbound we offer a bespoke indoor and outdoor high activity-based Crisis Intervention Service, for young people aged 8-18years with short term support based in Cumbria. Our semi- independent provisions can accommodate young individuals on a 7, 14 and 28-day placement with a 1:1 or 2:1 support ratio (in some cases a 3:1 ratio) 24 hours a day. As part of our high-quality respite service, we collaborate closely with Local Authorities to ensure we can provide immediate, same day, and short-term solutions for their most challenging and vulnerable young people before moving on to long term placements.

Our luxury service provides young people with a much-needed break/mini holiday from their current situation, with the main aim being to create a safe, secure, and calm environment in which young people are kept engaged whilst simultaneously learning new key life skills. We are dedicated to supporting young people in developing their social, communicative, emotional, and behavioural skills in a safe environment to promote positive outcomes going forward.

When a young person is welcomed into our placement, we always ensure their requirements are fully considered and a bespoke support plan is designed around them. During their stay with us we always collaborate closely with our Local Authorities to create a seamless move between placements at the beginning and end of our agreement.

Our ultimate goal is to give children an opportunity to create lifelong memories whilst enjoying their stay with us, At the end of their stay, a leavers package will be presented to them to take on the next part of their journey.
